Sweet Corn

• Planted beginning to mid-April.

• Available from Chary Produce in early July until the August long weekend.

TIPS:

Is there anything better than fresh sweet corn?! Best eaten the same day that it’s picked. Look for fresh, green leaves when purchasing. It will keep in the refrigerator and will stay crisper in the husk if the leaves are sprinkled with a bit of water. Try it grilled or wrap the corn, husk and all, in tin foil and place on a grill for 20 – 30 min.

Nutritional Information:

Low in Saturated Fat, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Folate.
